Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist
Join NLC Psychology at Magill or via Telehealth
NLC Psychology is growing, and I'm looking for a psychologist or clinical psychologist to join our team. This is an employed position, with flexibility to work from our Magill consulting rooms, via Telehealth, or a combination of both.
NLC is a growing psychology practice built around thoughtful, person-centred and neuroaffirming care. We work with people whose presentations can be complex, and who may not always feel well served by more traditional approaches to healthcare. I'm particularly interested in hearing from psychologists who have experience or a strong interest in working with people living with chronic pain, chronic fatigue, hypermobility, dysautonomia, endometriosis and related health conditions. A significant part of our work is alongside neurodivergent people, so a genuine commitment to neuroaffirming practice is important.
You don't need to be an expert in all of these areas. I'm also open to hearing from newer psychologists, including those early in their careers, who have developed a genuine interest in these client groups and are keen to continue learning.
An employed role with flexibility
In this role, you'll have the stability of employment while still having flexibility around your hours, location and clinical interests. You won't need to build your own referral network, manage your own bookings or spend your clinical time running the administrative side of a practice.
NLC has an established referral network, dedicated administrative support and ongoing marketing, allowing you to focus on your clients and your clinical work.
Our admin team manages client enquiries, bookings and scheduling, waitlist management and triage, payments, cancellations and calendar changes when you're unwell or need to cancel appointments.
Collaborative allied-health care
One of the things that makes our clinic locations particularly special is that NLC Psychology is part of a larger allied-health practice alongside physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and podiatrists. The broader practice shares our emphasis on person-centred care and collaborative support.
For clients living with complex health conditions, psychological care rarely exists in isolation. Having other health professionals working alongside us creates opportunities for appropriate collaboration and a broader understanding of the client's needs and goals. You would have the autonomy to practise as a psychologist while being part of a genuinely multidisciplinary environment.
What you can expect at NLC Psychology
Established referrals
You'll have access to an established referral network and a growing waitlist, with opportunities to develop a caseload that aligns with your interests.
Comprehensive administration
Our admin team takes care of the practical running of the practice so that your time can be focused on clinical work.
Supervision and support
I provide supervision and value having a space where psychologists can bring clinical uncertainty, complex presentations, ethical questions and ideas for further development.
Professional development
We value ongoing learning and want psychologists to have opportunities to develop their clinical knowledge and areas of interest.
Clinical autonomy
You'll have space to develop your own therapeutic style and areas of expertise within a supportive practice environment.
A collaborative team
NLC Psychology is intentionally growing as a small, connected team. I want it to be a place where psychologists can ask questions, discuss clinical work, share ideas and learn from one another.
Sustainable practice
I don't believe that good psychological practice requires psychologists to run themselves into the ground. I'm interested in building roles that are sustainable over the long term.
Who might be a good fit?
You might enjoy working at NLC Psychology if you:
-
are a registered general or clinical psychologist
-
enjoy working with complexity and presentations that don't always fit neatly into one box
-
have an interest in chronic health conditions, neurodivergence or related areas
-
value neuroaffirming, person-centred and trauma-aware practice
-
are curious and reflective about your clinical work
-
enjoy continuing to learn
-
value genuine therapeutic connection
-
want clinical autonomy while still being part of a team
-
are interested in developing a particular clinical area or niche.
Experience in all of our areas of practice isn't essential. I'm much more interested in finding someone who is thoughtful, curious and genuinely interested in the people they work with.
Location and flexibility
The role is based at our Magill location and/or via Telehealth. We can discuss the balance of in-person and Telehealth work, as well as hours, according to your experience, clinical interests and circumstances.
Could NLC be the right fit for you?
If you're looking for somewhere you can do meaningful clinical work, develop your interests and be part of a collaborative allied-health environment without having to build an entire private practice around it, I'd love to hear from you.
If you're not sure whether your experience is quite what we're looking for, please get in touch anyway. I'm happy to have a conversation.
