At NLC Psychology, we provide evidence-based, compassionate care for a wide range of mental health and wellbeing concerns.

Many people experience anxiety, depression, or difficulty adjusting to stressful life events such as grief and trauma. These challenges can feel overwhelming, but therapy can help you find ways to cope, heal, and move forward. At NLC Psychology, we use evidence-based approaches tailored to your individual needs.

Struggling with sleep can affect every part of your life, from energy and concentration to mood and relationships. We use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the gold-standard treatment for sleep difficulties. CBT-I is proven to work better in the long term than medication, helping people of all ages improve their sleep quality and routines.

Chronic pain and long-term health conditions can affect not just your body, but your whole way of living. While psychological therapy cannot take your pain away, it can change the way pain impacts your wellbeing. At NLC Psychology, we also work closely with physiotherapists at Move for Better Health, ensuring truly collaborative care. We have particular expertise supporting people with hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and dysautonomia (including POTS).

We are proud to offer neurodiversity-affirming therapy for Autistic and ADHD clients. Our approach respects neurological differences as a natural part of human diversity and focuses on building strengths, supporting areas of challenge, and adapting therapy to suit individual needs. We aim to create a supportive and inclusive space where all clients feel understood and valued.

Living with the effects of trauma can be exhausting and isolating. Our Clinical Psychologist Patrick provides treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a structured and highly effective approach. CPT helps people make sense of traumatic experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and rebuild a sense of safety and control.

Eating disorders can impact both physical health and emotional wellbeing, often taking over everyday life. Patrick treats eating disorders using Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E), the leading evidence-based approach. CBT-E is collaborative, practical, and designed to support recovery by helping clients develop a healthier relationship with food, body, and self.

Children and teenagers can face challenges such as anxiety, depression, and sleep problems, which affect not only them but their families as well. Our psychologists are experienced in supporting young people and tailoring strategies to their developmental stage. We aim to create a safe and supportive environment where children and adolescents can build resilience, confidence, and healthy coping skills.
